Son Mieux veröffentlichten 2017 ihre Debüt-EP Vice Versa, auf der fünf schimmernde Pop-Perlen versammelt sind, darunter die unvergesslichen Hymnen Easy und Ride. Dann kam das erste Album (Faire de Son Mieux), und im Frühjahr 2021 das zweite, ebenfalls auf Universal Music erschienen. Mit dieser Platte begiebt sich die Band dieses Jahr auf Tour. Wer sie einmal live erlebt hat, weiß, dass ihr Sänger Camiel Meiresonne auf der Bühne über sich hinaus wächst und den Songs eine unvorhersehbare Rock'n'Roll Attitüde verleiht. Tanzbar ist all das so sehr, und mit soviel Retro-Schick und nostalgisch-futuristischem Style versehen, dass es ein Genuss ist. Performance im besten Sinne des Wortes, und somit Pop at its best. After the success of first EP Vice Versa they delivered their debut record Faire de Son Mieux (French for: ‘Getting the most out yourself’) in February 2019. The album features ten complete pop songs brimming with irresistible hooks and choruses. Think personal stories in the best folk tradition, each with an electronic sub-layer. The combination resulting in sophisticated, always danceable music with a deep emotional load. 2021 will bring a lot of new music from the band with the first single 1992 to be released on the 12th of January. Son Mieux is Camiel Meiresonne, Maud Akkermans, Quinten Meiresonne, Chayenne van der Kooij, Timo Prins and Niels de Maa.
